Dhoom 3 (2007)

DHOOM 2 continues to make pots of money, while DHOOM 3 continues to make news. Even though Yash Raj hasn’t announced DHOOM 3 yet, there’s tremendous speculation pertaining to the star cast and director of the film. While chattermills are agog with the speculation that Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan have been penciled for pivotal roles, another report doing the rounds is that Aditya Chopra will direct the film, since Sanjay Gadhvi, the director of DHOOM and DHOOM 2, is now directing a film for Ashtavinayak [MAiNE PYAAR KYUN KiYA, GOLMAAL, BHAGAM BHAG].

Now here’s the latest on DHOOM 3…

it’s said that Siddharth Raj Anand, director of SALAAM | NAMASTE and TARA RUM PUM, has been assigned the directorial reins of DHOOM 3. True? Siddharth breaks into uncontrollable laughter when this writer calls to verify the development, “i have heard this one. it’s a mere speculation. i haven’t been approached [for DHOOM 3] in the first place,” Siddharth states. The speculation about the possible starcast of Yash Raj’s next ‘Dhoom 3′ is getting louder with every passing day. in fact, every new day a new rumour is hitting the headline.

Already there’s buzz, Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan will play the role of a stylish thief replacing Hrithik Roshan in the film and Bipasha Basu will be replaced by Rani Mukherji.

Also it will see Aditya Chopra’s comeback as director after a long gap. And if the latest rumour to be believed, Abhishek Bachchan will be dropped and Aamir Khan will be roped in for the film. Although it was set earlier that Abhishek, Aishwarya Rai and Uday Chopra will be cast again in ‘Dhoom 3′. However no official confirmation has come yet about the news of Aamir Khan replacing Abhishek in the film. (more…)

Hrithik’s performance as stylish thief in ‘Dhoom 2′ has been well appreciated. But as per rumours, in the next installment of the ‘Dhoom’ series Hrithik wouldn’t be cast. Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan will be roped in instead.

insiders say it’s almost official decision. However Hrithik has not given up his hopes. in a recent interview, he said he is all to see him in ‘Dhoom 3′ also; however he’s not sure about that. (more…)

Yash Raj Films seem to have made up its mind. They will be making ‘Dhoom 3′. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will continue to play the cops, as in ‘Dhoom 2′.

Buzz is, Shah Rukh Khan has been roped in to play the smart thief (played by John Abraham in ‘Dhoom’ and Hrithik Roshan in ‘Dhoom 2′) There’s also talk doing the rounds that Aamir Khan will be included in the film.

What about the girls? Rimi Sen and Esha Deol who were in ‘Dhoom’, were not chosen for ‘Dhoom 2′, but instead were replaced by Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu. Will Rimi and Esha return? Or will Ash and Bips continue? Or will we have some other gals? Let’s wait and watch. (more…)

Yash Raj Films will make ‘Dhoom 3′. As per latest, Aditya Chopra will direct it. Aditya’s last directorial venture, ‘Mohabbatein’ hit the theatre in 2000. So if everything goes right Aditya will be seen again with directorial baton after seven years.

In ‘Dhoom 3′, Shah Rukh will replace Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan will come in the place of Abhishek Bachchan. Only Uday Chopra and Aishwarya Rai will play their role. If the rumourmonger to be believed, Rani Mukherji can be roped in for the film. According to them, Aditya Chopra is keen to get Rani for ‘Dhoom 3′. Rani can play the role, which Bipasha Basu played in ‘Dhoom 2′.
