But we believe or rather our sources tell us that he’s postponed the shoot because he wants to build an awesome physique for his role in the film. He wants a year to sculpt his body, hence the delay. We’re surprised that Yash Raj Films which is so particular about its schedules has agreed to delaying the film. Certainly a first for them.

That Aamir is playing a villain in the film is no news, but how is he going to prepare for the film will surely hog the limelight. Also considering the fact that he is a stickler for perfection, it didn’t come as a surprise that Yashraj Films have got a foreign trainer for him. Aamir has got American trainer David, who has been flown down from California to get the star in the required shape for the third part of Dhoom.

However, the buzz surrounding Aamir’s role in the film has been varied, from him being a gymnast to a ballet dancer to him learning parkour. But neither production house nor others associated with the project want to divulge any details.

Also there is no info on what Katrina Kaif, who is getting paired for the first time opposite Aamir Khan, is doing in the Dhoom 3.

Dhoom 3 is going on floors March 2012.

Aamir Khan is said to be essaying the role of a super-thief in the film Dhoom 3. It was being rumoured that the actor will play a ballet dancer in the movie as he was learning ballet. But Abhishek Bachchan has slammed these rumours. “Aamir isn’t playing a ballet dancer,” the Hindustan Times quotes Abhi as saying.

Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan refused to divulge details about any of the characters. But he said that Dhoom 3 takes forward the story of a cop chasing a robber in the Hindi potboiler format and has plenty of laughs and mind-boggling action.

Aamir Khan decided to train on the technique as his movements in the film needed to be swift, according to the tabloid.

The source told the tabloid, “The main purpose of Parkour is to teach participants how to move through their environment by vaulting, rolling, running, climbing and jumping, which will help Aamir for his sequences opposite Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.”

Traceurs (parkour practitioners) train to be able to identify and utilise alternate or the more efficient paths. Parkour can be practiced anywhere, but areas dense with obstacles offer many different training opportunities”.

We wonder how Aamir is going to pull this off at 46 years of age, but taking it up itself requires guts. And if Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor and many other actors can do it, so can Aamir!

This time for his bad guy act in ‘Dhoom 3′, we hear Aamir is perfecting his art of ballet dancing. But he plays a gymnast…. he is a gymnast with a unique taste for ballet dancing and the Perfectionist is training for the role.

A close hand reveals that in one of the key sequences of the film Aamir is suppose to stand on his toes and for that scene Aamir has started taking his lessons and enhancing his ballet dancing skills as well…

The delay of the release has given Aamir some good time to perfect the art for the role.

Dhoom macha de… Literally Aamir innovations are giving new dimensions to the Dhoom 3 villain.

Katrina Kaif had earlier influenced producer Aditya Chopra to remove the bikini scene from Dhoom 3. The producer had to reluctantly relent. However, sources say that Aditya Chopra and Dhoom 3 director Vijay Krishna Acharya wanted to keep the sequence where Katrina was to adorn a beach wear. Moreover, the entire Dhoom 3 team felt that the beach scene was lucky for the film. After much persuasion, Katrina Kaif has agreed to wear shorts and a suitable top to go with the aesthetic look of the scene.

Meanwhile, the makers of Dhoom 3 have apparently appointed a round-the-clock trainer who is presently in Istanbul, where Katrina Kaif is shooting for her forthcoming film Ek Tha Tiger with Salman Khan. Sources also reveal that once Katrina Kaif returns after her shooting, she will receive advance training.

Katrina is well aware of it, but since she has been rushing from one film to another, she has little or no time left to actually concentrate on her work-outs.

According to a source, Katrina has been so busy that she has not even had time to enjoy the successes of her own recent films including Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

“She has been shooting back to back since the past several months now. But her role in Dhoom 3 requires her to look her fittest best and so she’s started working out during her outdoor schedules itself,” says the source.

However, an insider reveals that she is into light exercising and not heavy training. “Katrina wants to tone up her body for Dhoom 3, and luckily for her she is already in good shape. She anyways hates vigorous workouts or starving herself to acquire a lean body or look sexy, so she is just exercising regularly and going in for a healthy diet instead.”

The B-Town hottie had apparently started to work on her bod right when she was shooting with Salman Khan for Ek Tha Tiger in Dublin. “There too she would exercise regularly, eat loads of fruits on time, instead of starving herself and she has also been drinking a lot of water. She is trying her best to catch up on sleep as well,” informs the source, adding that apparently she has also been getting a lot of tips from Salman on the same. “Yes, Salman has advised Katrina to cycle and swim to tone up without hitting the gym to get an overall lean and well-toned body,” says the source.

According to an insider, “From now to that film, she is unlikely to get any time off for herself anyway, as soon after she wraps up Ek Tha Tiger, she’s expected to begin work on her film with Shah Rukh Khan,” says a source.

Interestingly, the film — which also stars Aamir Khan as the baddie — will be her fifth movie with Aditya Chopra’s production house.

“She’s become quite a favourite with the production house as she’s been signed on for four back-to-back films with them. Her professionalism of not letting her personal life interfere with her professional one is what seems to work in her favour too,” says an industry observer.

Produced by Aditya Chopra, Dhoom 3 will be written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who has written Dhoom 1 & 2. He has also written and directed Tashan.

Aamir Khan is playing a negative character in the film. Katrina Kaif will star opposite Aamir Khan. Both Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will continue in their now iconic roles of Jai Dixit and Ali.

The shooting of the film Dhoom 3 will begin from the end of November in 2012. The producers are worried about the 10 to 11 months of intense shooting with concurrent post-production, which may also get extended and which in turn will be cutting it too fine for a Christmas 2013 release.

Director Victor V.K.A Vijay Krishna Acharya has decided to delay the release after consulting with Aamir Khan. Victor said, “Dhoom 3 is very dear to all of us as well as to its audience who expect only the best from the franchise. While the shooting will finish in time, we expect the post-production to take much longer. We are trying our best to give one of the finest cinematic experiences to our discerning audience and therefore did not want to compromise the quality of the film just to meet the release date.”

The Dhoom series centres around bike chases, handsome thieves and daring theft plans. After the success of Dhoom (2004) and Dhoom 2 (2006), there is much buzz in B-town about the next sequel.
